In conjunction with the Center for Civic Engagement at the University of Nebraska for a future course regarding peace and civility, eight concepts were created for a student marketing team to use. The goal was to ensure that all within the university setting felt free to express their views regardless of perspectives shaped by different backgrounds.
Hidden and subliminal messages created the foundation of this project in order to make people question what these principles mean, how they do or do not abide to these principles, and what the world looks like with and without these concepts. An ethereal design style and provocative language were used to encourage self-reflection and philosophical thinking. These illustrations are an unconventional approach to university standards, but challenge the way in which authorities communicate with the university community.
